Call it a mommymobile and I'll sleep with your sister

I think the worst I've heard was "mommymobile", although no one was laughing when I loaded the two of em and all their luggage into it comfortably to go to the airport (3 large full size and 2 carry on).

The funniest thing happened the other night, talking about a trip down to deals gap with the bikes, planned on trailerering the bikes to Virginia and riding from there, my buddies little brother says "and you can fit another bike on the truck" buddy says, "Fuk no, we're taking the Jetta!" can't imagine why, I only get double his 1500 hemi millage, (easy 3 times with out the trailer)

I really like this wagon, it tows my utility trailer with 2 bikes on it at 30 mpg handily and it gets 45 if I take it easy no trailer, you can fit virtually anything in it and it is quite comfortable for four! critics be damned, If I ever feel a little light in the boots I go do wheelies on my triumph speed triple till someone calls the cops, oddly it gets 45 mpg too:D

Got my Wagon on Nov 10. Tows my trailer just fine, I really like the car, My truck got 13.7 mpg (On the highway) The JSW got 44 mpg on a road trip the other day. And like others have mentioned, people seem to get a kick out of riding in it and they seem to think that a diesel should be a bone shaker and be loud and smelly. :)

If it had paddle shifters, leather and xenons, Porche could badge it.

I traded an Audi A6 2.7T that I drove for ten years and loved. I was unimpressed by paying a lot more than a JSW for less in an A3 TDI. I was really concerned I wouldn't make the transition to the JSW TDi easily. There was NO transition; from Day One, I loved driving this car. :D Its a sports car with great cargo space and amazing economy. If the JSW TDI had paddle shifters, leather, and few tweaks, I think Porsche could badge it; no problem.

It sort of like it is a utility vehicle. I posted yesterday about mine being great in the snow. It did very well, Granted, I drove much slower and did not take any stupid risks. Now today I will hook up the trailer again and put it to work! I love driving the car too, I am comfortable in it and enjoy it.

Aha, those words "utility vehicle." Remind you of anything?

In the US, the roads are full of station wagons. People call them SUV's and deny that they're wagons, but they are. (Disclaimer: Some SUV's, the frame-on-rail types, are better called pickups with covered beds; but I think they' re greatly outnumbered by unibody SUV's, which are just slightly raised wagons.)

If you want to look cool, put a surfboard, mountain or road bike, or whatever other sports gear is locally appropriate on or in the vehicle. To be cool, stop trying to look cool...

Yesterday I called my brother... through the phone system in my JSW to brag about avaraging over 40 miles per gallon while going through the hills of Pennsylvania from Pittsburgh to Johnstown and back.

He asked how much a TDI was and said he wanted to trade his Benz for one. :)

After this trip I rode to the airport area and back and finished a 200 mile day over 40 miles per gallon.
