I've owned a couple of Jetta TDI's, 2006 and 2009, they both had esp buttons. I don't see one on my 2012 Passat SE, just wondering if it has it. It seems to have everything else...
Yes, your car still has ESP. VW just removed the ability to disable it in the newer models in an effort to lower the production costs of newer vehicles.
There are kits out there to add the button, but i don't remember where to find the kits at.
I believe that all new cars are required by law to have some sort of Electronic Stability Program. What is missing on the newer ones is the ability to easily turn it off.
FMVSS 126 required ESC for all passenger vehicles to have it for model year 2012. There was a phase in period and many OEMs offer a way to disable portions of it. Not so on NMS Passat.
