Hey all. Have a '10 Jetta TDI and I've been experiencing some weird issues, really need to just hook up to a VAG-COM but figured I'd post here first and see if anyone else has experienced anything like this.
Since I got the car (about two years ago) it's intermittently had this thing where the coolant temp dial will start going all over the place (up and down) and the warning beeps sound, but after a few seconds it'll return back to 190 and be fine after that. Just this past week its started consistently pushing over 190 when I've been driving for a bit, but very sporadically and then returning to 190 for a while. Coolant is at the correct level and regular OBD fault codes don't say anything about the coolant system, anyone have any ideas of quick fixes I can try before having to take it in somewhere and dump more money into this thing? Thanks.
