Emissions fault, MAF sensor

First off sorry if this is the wrong section but since it's throwing a emissions fault it makes sense.

I have a 2.0 PD engine BRT that shows emissions workshop on the dash. Car runs great but will only give me ~40% throttle.

So I did a obd scan, cleared the faults but the maf sensor remains "low input". So I swapped out the sensor and still the same. The live data from my scanner shows the maf reading as 0. This leads me to believe the the wiring to the sensor is broken.

However I have no idea how to go about checking this. I can't find a wiring diagram or the pin outs for the ECU to check if none of the wires are broken. If I follow the wires it just goes over the air box and then into a bigger loom. Both have a plastic sheath.

Any help as to where to go from here would be appreciated

Erwin doesn't list my engine, can you name the "other sources" where I can buy a manual?

I would pay someone to do it but when asked they said if after they buy a genuine maf sensor and find the problem still there they would replace the loom basically making the repair cost more than the car's worth

VW Sharan 2006 2.0l TDI, I tried searching them saw it say for a list of all VW vehicles refer to build guide http://erwin.vw.com/erwin/downloadStaticFile/volkswagen/files/VW_Erwin_Build_Guide.pdf

So I went through that guide and couldn't find any vehicle with a brt engine

Ok but now what. So we've identified the vehicle which I already knew but erwin doesn't list that vehicle

Do you know anything about what you are saying?
If you know the vehicle that you got the engine from, why are you referencing a document from the NA market? Was there a 2006 Sharan sold in the North American Region?
And you might've know what vehicle you had, but I don't read minds!
