Bought a 2014 Passat TDI from Carvana, about 100k miles. Took it in to the shop for a suspension repair and they noticed the EGR cooler was leaking so they replaced it. Was about a $1500 repair but luckily it was still under warranty.
Anyways, is this replacement likely to prolong the life of the DPF? I'm planning on getting a tune and was considering deleting the DPF at the same time given its inevitable failure, but if its lifespan just got extended I'll leave it in.
