Recently bought a 2011 Jetta tdi and while driving it home a check engine light came on for P0401 and P240F. Was gonna try to clean the dpf filter and the egr any other ideas or thoughts will help thanks

Read here on this topic. Many many posts about it. Cracked or broken dpf leaking soot everywhere. Does your tail pipe have any soot inside it at all? From another post:
