I just found a bit of paper with this fault code on it.
17978 P1570-035
It is the only code my Transporter van has ever come up with. Does anybody know what it is? I think it might be "Engine control unit blocked" and to do with an immobilizer fault but I'm not sure. It cleared ok and didn't come back after a drive round. It never caused a code light, nothing ever does- I've even run the engine with every sensor wire off that doesn't actually stop the engine (MAF included) and still no light! I think it must be disabled in some way.
