Had a slight hesitation (almost like limp mode) going up a hill the other day.
Since I have VCDS I thought I would check for fault codes. None recorded.
I know limp mode doesn't usually throw a code.
When I checked MAF specified vs actual at idle they were way off.
It would not go much above 500 even when revved.

Got to reading and came across a comment saying that if you have a dynamic EGR tune it
effectively removes the MAF function and the numbers will not be what we normally expect to see.
I have a stage 1 tune with the dynamic EGR feature.

Can someone who knows this stuff be kind enough to explain this area. ( Paging our in house wizard?)
When I got the tune this was never mentioned.
I was getting ready to buy a new MAF, but will hold off until I learn more.

Thanks

Peter
