I have had to be persistent numerous times with Frans. Stick with it, he may be sick or had an accident.

FWIW, I emailed him late at night EST (after midnight usually), that may have put my emails near the top of his inbox when he got started in the morning. I consistently received replies the following morning EST. Looking back at the email chain I did have to follow up on two emails, but otherwise received prompt replies.

We are here and doing business. Every now and then we get a big amount of e-mails or other messages like pm and dm's. We try to reply everyone asap. It does not help sending an additional message if you don't get a reply within a day... Our new webshop will be up and running in 2-3 months which will make ordering a lot easier!

Hi All,
Absolutely new here, but this felt like the time to pipe in and say hi
Franz is still around. I emailed him yesterday, and sent a follow-up this morning to be at the top of his inbox because I am in a time crunch to find a transmission for my 2005 Golf. Within about 45 minutes of sending me the follow-up, he got me a price with shipping, which is currently sitting about $1000 USD for a O2J with TDI ratios

Hope this helps! I have a small lead time awaiting me but that gives me time to work out a clutch and find a shop to drop the transmission in for me so I am not rolling around on the cold concrete

Frans is solid, he’s a very good man from my experiences. Which most likely makes him a very busy man

Yeah, from the feedback I've read here, and the Google reviews, I'm confident that the unit I'll receive will be good to go. I think most of my impatience is coming from the fact I have owned the car less than a week and it's needing a transmission (diff is leaking gear oil like a sieve and flanges have nothing but play)

Looking like $1200-$1300 all in, shipped to Colorado after currency conversion and PayPal fees. I sent him a question about if it'll have a shift tower or what may need to be pulled off the transmission (makes me wonder if I should get flanges as well, christ this is getting expensive) and asked for the invoice to pay. Hopefully I'll have it when I get up tomorrow morning and confirmation it's being built.

The transmission (6MT) I got from him had the shifter linkage up top damaged (not surprising considering an over 100lb strapped to a pallet); he was quick to send me a replacement for that. I could have used the one off my 5sp I was replacing, but I already had a buyer for that as a 5sp swap.

All of which is to say that everything that is a functional part of the transmission (tower, flanges, VSS), I would expect to be included. Only extra might be the CV axles (I was buying a 6sp swap kit, so they were included; I wouldn't assume they would be if you were just asking for a replacement 02J).

pm me if that falls through - I have a spare 02J in the garage.

I bought an 02j from him last year and it arrived ready to go, other than adding transmission fluid.
