for those of you guys with the privilege of having a 6-speed DSG transmission, I was wondering what everyone's doing as far as the DSG fluid choice , any preferences OEM G052182A2 ( G0521821LDSP ) vs Fuchs, LM20044, Pentosin, Febi, Motul? Any brands to stay away from?

There are just too many to list....
We've used Pentosin and LiquiMoly interchangeably here for years, never had any issues. FFL-2 is supposedly the factory fill for the 02E (according to Wikipedia).

Another Pentosin user, all my DSGs get it. Pentosin has a kit number 8038207

If you are just draining and replacing what you took out, 5 will probably do. If you are draining and then refilling and bring it up to temp and draining off the overflow, you might want 6.

I have used VW factory, Liqui-Moly, Febi-Bilstein with no issues. I use the top fill method. I buy the kits from IDParts, they say the filter is an OEM but the factory marked part is $5 more. They both look identical. 5L comes out so I put 5L back in.
