Dpf delete.

If I turn my tdi into an offroad vehicle, can I get a dpf delete kit for it?

You can get one without doing that. Will need a tune depending on what year it is.

it's gotta be tuned out if you remove it or you melt you bumper at best....the extra fuel injected for Regen, or the lack of Regen happening will cause issues if you just remove it in most cases

I've been told I can't get the delete kit for my 2014?

I've also wondered if the filter can be removed or reamed out and a delete program out there to take care of the computer ?

2014 Jetta TDI should be a CJAA engine and those CAN be deleted for off road use. Check the sticker in the wheel well and it will tell you what engine you've got

Unfortunately "reaming it out" isn't really an option like it was with cats a few decades ago, hell VW DEALERSHIP ACTUALLY DID IT on some VW rabbits as fixes back in the 80's.
The removal usually also removes the EGR which is another problem, then a tune/reprogram.

Unless you have a heavy-duty roto rooter chisel tool, you'll have to cut it open, ream it out, then weld it back up.

Whoever told you "you can't buy a kit" was talking about a single vendor, Rawtek, that no longer ships to USA. Others do.

2014 kits availible. Just google it. There are many that sell a package w/tune. Obviously this is for competition and offroad use only. Good luck! Also "Joshs Jetta" channel on youtube has a pretty good video that goes over a few of the more popular ones...its worth the watch.

The "offroad use only" clause doesn't circumvent the law breakage, just FYI. It is what the original certified use was for. This is why this has become such a hot topic at places like SEMA.
