Just had my car in at the dealer, oil change, brake fluid change and DSG transmission fluid change.
I'm pretty sure that the DSG did not have anything done via the electronic access port. My MFI indicator still shows me D1 to D6 where the OEM only shows the numbers.

I think I am right, if I download or copy the ECU file to my Flashzilla it does not remove the file from the ECU. By doing this I should be able to compare the file to the Stage 2 file I have saved and the OEM ECU file. It does leave whatever file is in the ECU, am I right?

Anyone want to add their knowledge?
Thx

Believe the ECU can only store 1 set of code. The FZ is what allows you to store the spare.
Disclaimer- I've never used the flashzilla.

RESOLVED !!!

Thanks Bob for the reply.

Took my Flashzilla out into the coooooold and connected it. After a bit of exploring found a setting which let me "see" the current file in the ECU.
Told me that the Stage 2 file is in the ECU.
Whew relief !!!
