So I look in my mailbox today, and VW thinks I'm on the rag or something... they sent me a nice little triangle shaped box with a rag in it. Nice of them, I'll use it to keep lint off the instrument cluster... hopefully it doesn't scratch the plastic.

But the big box was from PA and had cable in it... finally the Compaq 700 with serial cable and Pentium III with 666mz chip can be retired... I hated the tiny little clit button on that damn keyboard instead of a touch pad.

W00t! Oh and my version of VCDS is already 11.11.3 Can't wait for Compu to discover another little jewel or hidden treasure with it... I'd be dangerous going in there with all that hexidecimal stuff and wreck something.

Are there any tricks to see what my ash load is or how to catch and log a regeneration?

Happy Camper today, feel awesome after my mountain bike ride a couple hours ago. :D

These threads should tell you a lot about ash load and capturing regen info. The measuring blocks for your car should be the same as on other CR diesels.

Enjoy you new toys!

Have Fun!

Don

P.S. I hate those little "scratch & sniff" (touch) pads, but I'm getting used to them.

... None :S
Niner: Remember: The first thing you should do is do an auto-scan and save it. This captures all the codings, etc in their factory state. It makes it tons easier if you ever need to "go back" :)

Duly noted... thanks, is that kind of like a full blown backup? Matt's already been in there and took out my DRL's, tried a bunch of other stuff too, to no avail. The KeyFob operating windows on mine still remains a mystery... I'd really like to get some LED Daylight Running Light type bulbs for replacement of the stock ones.

There is also a MFI setting in the dash that resets everything to factory specs too, isn't there? I thought I saw it in one of the dash menu's.

So, thats what was supposed to be in that triangle shaped box? Hmph, mine was empty!! :( oh well. I thought it was odd that they would spend almost 3 bucks to send literature, and nothing else. was curous about that empty space in the bottom of the box. lol

Yup, a microfiber cloth. With a VW logo and it says Das Auto underneath it. I wonder what Audi sends to it's new owners?
