For the life of me I cannot find a door panel insert/card for my 2001 jetta, that has manual window holes. Everywhere I look, all i can find is the ones with holes for electric windows.

Any help is appreciated!

I'm afraid two years of sitting in the sun at the previous owner took a toll, all of the cloth has fallen off and its lost most of it's rigidity

If it's soft you might find a difficult time replacing it.
If it's the material and the foam that you're feeling you can refinish them.
I tried replacing the cloth itself, however, it didn't work the best and next time I'm going to coat the cards instead.
Once I read someone had used plastidip with good results.
Presently I'm needing to decide what to use myself. Something like plastidip, paint, enamel, or another coating.

Well actually, I tried cleaning all the adhesive off, epoxying some rigidity back into the card, and spraying plastidip on it to try and get it back somewhat. Unfortunately the hot summer sun and the black exterior/black interior of my car cooked it pretty fast so it's about as bad as I started with.

I should have saved the ones out of the 2000 I scrapped. It had manual windows and manual mirrors. I have never seen another one. It was tough to replace stuff, IIRC I had to put in an electric side mirror, which made the mirror even more manual. As you had to physically move the mirror for adjustment.

I hadn't thought about the fiberglass thing, I'll give that a shot.

As for the manual window/mirror, I actually did the same thing with my mirror, such a pain finding parts for this stuff, until just now I thought I was the only person in existence that had one

I saw a mk4 in the junkyard with manual windows recently, but I don’t recall if it was a Golf or a Jetta and I didn’t pay attention to the condition. I just remember seeing hand cranked windows. Next time I’m out there, I will try and find it.
