Postponed due to medical reasons mentioned in my last post in this thread.
I'm hoping that everything will be good to go for next year and that I can put on a cruise/gtg next year

After quite the hiatus of putting on a cruise and gtg, I've decided to put one on this fall.
The cruise will go throughout Door County, WI on Saturday October 25th, 2025 starting at 9AM.

We'll meet up at my dad's shop that's in the industrial park of Sturgeon Bay.
The address is:
203 Keel Ct.
Sturgeon Bay, WI 54235

The goal is to leave the shop around 9:15 for the cruise portion of the event. We'll mostly be traveling on the back roads of the county. The cruise usually takes around 3 hours to complete.

Afterwards, we usually cook out and chat about anything and everything. I'll provide the burgers, since we have a fantastic meat market in town, but if other people could bring something else to share would be great!

Here's a thread I made in 2017 pertaining to the cruise/gtg we had that fall.
Sturgeon Bay, WI Fall 2017 Cruise/GTG

This is open to anyone that enjoys having a good time on the back roads, so feel free to invite any other like minded people (even if they don't have a TDI) since I say the more the merrier.

We try to keep it fairly respective so we don't piss off too many people on our route, so use your best judgment on when and where to push the limit. I will say that sometimes no matter how hard we've tried, there's always going to be a person or group that we pass that won't be happy with us going by even 5 mph over the speed limit. 🤷

I'll end this post saying that I'm currently having some medical issues that are getting better and I really hope will be mostly gone by the time that the cruise/gtg is here. I'll keep everyone posted on how things are looking as we get closer to the cruise/gtg.

Hope to see some familiar faces and some new ones at the cruise/gtg. 👍😊

I hate making this post, but things aren't looking good for me putting on the Cruise/GTG this fall. The wound that I've been dealing with, isn't trending in the right direction and actually opened back up 3 weeks ago after I got the green light from my wound doctor that said I could start getting up in my wheelchair again.
Unfortunately after a few days of getting in my wheelchair, it opened back up a little bit, so I'm back to bed rest for a while longer and I can't say for sure that my wound would be completely healed in time for the cruise/gtg. Even if it were to completely heal up before the cruise/gtg, I'd hate to risk it opening back up when I got transferred into my car. 👎😔

So as much as I hate to do it, I'm going to have to postpone the cruise/gtg to next year when I've got everything healed up and I've been in my wheelchair for a few months and know that everything is good to go and I know that I won't have any problems getting transferred into my car.

I'll post in this thread to let everyone know when I'm putting on a cruise/gtg next year.
