2009 Jetta 2.0 TDI and 2014 Passat 2.0 TDI / Ive got a MK5 bentley manual, message me for a free diagram
Got 3 questions:

1- Is lugging an engine the main cause of wear and tear on the DMF? (Lower the RPMs = higher the vibrations to absorb?)

2- Does cruising on a flat surface at ~40 mph, count as lugging if the RPMs are under 1400-1500? Or is it only when overtaking / going uphills? (power is needed)

3- Is 1000 RPMs at 30 mph the stock tune? Isn't this terrible? Was this done for economy? (2009 CBEA)

New Beetle 2003 manual
1. I suppose, your newer DMF should be fine
2. Manual in 4th gear
3. 3rd or 4th cruise good, accelerate maybe 2nd. What's terrible? What does it matter...
