Display Turn off?

Is it even possible to turn the stereo display off when listening to radio?

LOL. I am sitting in a parking lot waiting for my son getting back from a school trip. Just killing time.

If I turn off the engine (and the key) my radio will play with a dark display.

Turn car completely off, then push the radio power button. It will play for about an hour and then shut itself off.

My car is a 2006 Jetta.

I have seen a few screen options to turn off display on my RNS510. I have never done it and do not remember what I was listening to at the time.

Sure... sure... You gave up on Belichick after the scandal broke, taping opposing teams defense signals. I don't think the $500,000 fine was liberal enough either, that is beyond unethical. He should have been banned from the sport altogether.

Turning the Pat's off is always a good screen option /pass play.

Anyone know how to keep the stereo on when you turn the engine off? I don't like idling a lot, but don't want to interrupt what I'm listening to...

I don't believe there is a way. However, once the car is off you can press the radio's on button to turn it back on.
