It sounds like disabling the auto-lock would be a bandaid on what is a larger problem.

yes a bandaid that this vw i have is built ****ty and under built and i don't want to replace actuators all the time .

got locked in the drivers seats today , took playing with the lock unlock and the rear keeps doing the trying to lock at 10 mph , that's the drivers rear door . so two are f'd up .

So yes id like a bandaid bc of vw.

I tell you if this car wasn't so large and got the mpgs i wouldn't have it .

What trouble codes are showing up related to the doors?

The problem is in the handle or the latch. It isn't something you can fix with VAG-COM unless you shut off the feature altogether. Water gets in and wreaks havoc with the electrics. VW has a fix in the form of a cover that goes in over a new latch assembly. My wife' 2013 started doing this and replacing the latch and added the cover fixed it. If I can put my hands on the RO I'll scan and post.

Are you out of warranty already? If not, the dealer will fix.

You should also be able to source replacement parts from a salvage yard... there is a decent inventory of Passats across the country.
