Must have been hard to let it go. If I'd have seen a car like that, I'd have never gotten my Mk6.

So just to let everyone know whos still following these things I'm currently the owner of said TDI now. there was a previous owner after dieselpower04 sold it to him and then I got it. my previous owner did not drive it nearly as often as you would think since it was a diesel and got crazy mileage. he ended up driving it 17k miles in the 9 years he owned it. I've had to to a lot of maintenance on it and fix a lot of dry rotted fuel lines and coolant lines and redoing the interior because the p/o had some weird stuff going on in there. this dude even had the same tires when he first picked it up and told me the tires were good. I ended up getting new tires before my drive home from Tennessee to Florida. P/O also put on a muffler and a resonator I believe and some other things. I got it with a bad fuel leak at the pump under the rear seat which leaked out the back end causing the rear bumper to lose its clear coat. (been leaking awhile from the looks of it) Also I've only been able to get around low 40s mpg and have been fighting trying to get it back up to the 50s. the last thing I'm going to do to it is probably replace the turbo on it because I've changed everything else including having the head rebuilt new tandem pump X2, experimenting on tire pressures, when I got it it didn't have the vacuum canister on it so I got that installed as well. I also had the muffler removed but I might take the resonator out as well. Haven't seen much of a change when I took the muffler out.

originally the car only got around 600 to the tank in the city when I first got it. currently the car gets around 750 mile to the tank in the city. ill be taking a trip to Florida from Indiana in about 6 or 7 weeks so we will see what the mileage is then. really aiming for over 800 but who knows. I think I got a .652 gear sitting around waiting to go in. supposed to lower the rpms by 600? haven't done it yet cuz I don't want to lose my cruise control just yet lol also not sure where to get it tuned at for just the cruise control to work again...

I will try to keep you guys posted on this. I am in contact with dieselpower04 personally so I do keep him up to date on what's going on with it as well. ill also try to get photos if I can figure out how to add them to the post itself?
