Getting excited and nervous at the same time - my appointment is a week out (May 29th - Barrie Ontario). Nervous about how smooth the actual appointment will go. I blocked my entire morning just in case. Will report back on how the appointment goes. Doing a buyback, car is free and clear and already have my new vehicle.

I'm trying to schedule an appointment and on the online form, it asks:
"Are the kilometres driven as of Transaction Date determinable on the vehicle?"
What th e heck does that mean? Later on, it asks for odometer reading so it's not that.
I tried calling the helpline but they are not working over the holiday.
Actually it is probably asking are you trying to use our paramiters to increase your compensation for our deceit...just say no....;)

Finally got our letter! Offer is exactly as per the original estimate.

And now my scanner decides to bug out as I try to upload the signed copies...

Edit: finally got the signed offer uploaded. Now another eyeball staring at me. I wonder how long this review step will take???
You got the offer yesterday? I thought they were off work for the long weekend.

Honestly I found those few questions confusing. And the later on the page it asks again for the mileage (if I'm remembering correctly).

Yes, I got the same thing this AM. I saw the subject and assumed it was my offer.

I'm at the green checkmark stage for a week now, so their email is superfluous.

Green checkmarks since April 29th and apparently last week someone woke up and told me that my ownerships had to be re-uploaded but the supervisor said that she would do a "push up escalation'' I called back this morning because I was supposed to hear something last week that they told me and now apparently they have to reset my stuff and I will need to provide my ownerships again... wow after like a month of being on green checkmarks.. I am sooooo pissed.

I was so excited to see an email form Claims Administrator this morning...what a disappointment. I really hope that the loan payments I'm making now will be refunded properly and not have to wait forever like I've been waiting for my offer letter.

Submitted May 1.

Arggggh.....Useless email, alright. 13 days of green check marks, no progress. Rice pudding is really dropping the ball.

Would love to see more stats like how many of the 45,000 affected owners who had started claims had appointments set by now. My guess is not a whole lot.

Honestly I found those few questions confusing. And the later on the page it asks again for the mileage (if I'm remembering correctly).
I figured it out.

The first question about kms. on transaction date is asking for your current odometer reading.

The second question is asking you to estimate your odometer reading on the date of vehicle return.

The questions are confusing. Instead of "Transaction Date", they should have just said "Today" or "Current Date".

The funny thing is, at the top of the page, it says something like "None of your answers below affect your buyout". So why the hell are they asking them?

For us (buyback option):

Submitted on May 7.
All green check marks on May 10(or 11?).
Offer letter on May 15.
Uploaded signed offer letter on May 20.
Got email to set up appointment on May 22.

So they worked in the long weekend. For the appointment date, need to check when our ordered car will arrive at first. Besides, found the last question for appointment setting up was a little bit confusing:

Within the last 7 years, was the vehicle ever registered outside of Ontario?

We are in BC, so the answer would be 'yes', I guess.

Now we are struggling to cancel the extended warranty from LGM. Their manager called back and refused to give back the money. Our car is 2015 Golf and is still in factory warranty, thus never used the extended warranty yet. I searched back this thread and found somebody had successfully cancelled the extended warranty from LGM in February. We will call them again to fight with them.

My update:
I started April 29th...finally have all check marks on uploaded docs...
Standing by for next step!
Finally received my offer letter...interesting that it is dated May 11, 2017...I received the email May 22, 2017...

Back to the waiting game...
Still thinking sending it back with my 15" stealies / snows. Keeping the 16" alloy rims for snows on the 2015 Jetta Highline that has 17" wheels..

Lol exactly.

And then a few days later we receive a call anyway to confirm our appointment and the mileage.

Have been waiting with green checkmarks at step 15 since May 6.

Still no progress, but suddenly I got an email saying "Thank you for registering your claim with the claims administrator, RicePoint Administration Inc., Your claim is in process. ". Yes, thank you, I am aware of this.

That's my plan also. Send the car back with 16" winter steelies/tires (tire may have one season left), and keep the 16" alloys/"summer" tires (new tires last spring). The alloys will become the winter setup for whatever I replace the wagon with...

Yawn, after another 57min on hold the 2nd CSR, Richard just spewed more BS, asked to talk to his manager, more BS. Something wrong with the offer letter in regards to km's had to be rewritten/reviewed. Gave me 3 separate WRONG dates for the same item "approval of documents" - I'd throw my hands in the air but I think it'd be a waste of time.

Ive had the exact same bullsh6t until someone last week said that for some reason my verso ownership is not correct. But ive had green checkmarks since day 2. This is soooo anoying. Now they sent an email to request that they reset the document so that I can upload it. ***.
