2015 Golf TDI - gone
Anybody canceled their extended warranty?

We bought the VW Protection Plus extended warranty when we bought my wife's 2015 Golf TDI. My wife tried to contact TDI settlement hotline twice, but it was hold so long that she lost patience and hung up before getting answers. She then contacted VW Canada and talked to a lady who said the general conditions applied, thus could not be cancelled. The lady will let her manager to call back. We will see how the manager says.

Has anybody already managed to cancel the extended warranty? And how? I followed the thread and read almost all posts, but did not find any info.

Thanks.

I'm sure you must have quite a long commute ? I'm still on hold, called at around 6:05 pm est, I also am at the green check mark stage. Hasn't been a week yet, but just calling to make sure things are in the works. Not sure how it's going for people doing early lease terminations as I never really see much posting on here for that.

I called just after 3pm and said 5 mins ended up being 15

Tried last night and message said 80 .

I'm trading my 2013 Passat for a 2018 Audi Q5, but the Audi dealer is well aware of the settlement. I couldn't choose a Audi dealer on the portal but my dealership says there wont be any problem at the final step. I'm stuck at the document approuval green check since may 8.
Interesting....we are in a similar state. Sometime last week just after May 8th. I am curious to see a template offer to see what is listed at the time of offer. I just naturally assume the dealer of choice is listed on the offer. They say it wont be a problem, but they would say that about anything right, cant trust them.

I am worried about timing since i am interested in a used a3 tdi, or the etron as second choice.

First time I was rejected and second try I phoned before to explain how our registration document looks.
I did the same. They told me to wait, do not change anything with the upload. Now, two weeks later, I called 3rd time. This time they told me I had to upload a blank document. I did that and now I'm waiting again...

Is there some people from the Quebec who got an offer and have a date set?
Dont know about others but no luck for me. I tried calling the help line before breakfast at 7 sharp this morning. Recorded message said 15 min. After 30 min I needed food and coffee so bad I gave up.

I'm outside today, tomorrow I have some project work on the computer, I'll call and put it on speaker phone while I work. I hope the corny music won't be too distracting...

I want to get this over with. I'm also selling my plane, and the per-purchase inspection is next Tuesday, which has me doubly anxious.

My second TDI (which bill of sale is in my name and ownership is in my wife's name) I just got a response for the documents uploaded.

4 of 5 were approved. The 5th, was government issued ID for the 2nd owner (my wife). Went to go look, and I uploaded a copy of the ownership instead of her license for that step. *FACE PALM* Talk about being careless..

I am not yet decided, but I think I will call on Saturday or Monday morning to follow up on the offer. Even though my documents were approved last Tuesday morning, I still submitted on April 28, and I should already have an offer and even an appointment before many other people.

Because of that, I will have to renew my insurance and my registrations. Of course, it will not be possible to use the money as a down payment on my new car that I should receive by the beginning of June (not a VW).

I can't wait any longer, the two rear seat belts have to be changed and the rear suspension is dead.

Like someone else said before, green checkmarks are overrated!

Hour and a half on hold, absolute waste of time. What a friggen joke. If I lose out on the trade in I'm hoping for, then I'm reneging on the buyback.
And do what??

You can't sue them....

I suppose you could wait until next fall and if there is no fix found, opt out then, and THEN sue...

But that's a longer wait than just waiting now.

What are you getting (non-VW)? I'm in the same boat although we're trading for a VW. Car is supposed to arrive any day now. The dealer didn't ask for a deposit, but if the wait is too long I may have to pay a deposit to reserve it. Moreover our right front spring is busted, and it's 2000 km overdue for the 90k km service.

We were also planning to go to Maine this month for the upcoming long weekend. We've had to postpone that. I'm close to being bumped up into another category for mileage. Plus the car isn't health for a long drive on sometimes bumpy roads at the moment. My own car (Golf hatch) is too small to carry all our cycling gear and luggage, unless I buy crossbars for the roof. The old ones off my previous Mk VI don't fit.

Essentially we're operating with about 1.1 cars at the moment, with the TDI being limited to local trips into town for my wife's work (10 km each way).

NOT happy that people submitting more than a week after us are getting served first. It's like being in a long lineup at the cash, or airport, or whatever, and have someone cut into the line ahead of you. Very frustrating, though in this case it's not the fault of those getting ahead in line.

RAV4 Hybrid. Need AWD and also more ground clearance. I also wanted a car with great MPEG and at least same cargo space. The 4MOTION DSG cannot tow anything, that was also a problem for me.

Honestly, I also need a more reliable car. Of course, it's MUCH more boring to drive...

But I'm not saying that I'm done with VW, next one will be 100% electric and VW might have interesting cars, will see.

Obviously, it is not the fault of the people who pass in front of us, nor the fault of VW, but the fault of rice pudding.

Had they declined part of your paperwork, through no fault of your own, that might have been a different story. Glad it all went smoothly for you though.

Exactly. Whats worse....in my case they declined/denied my letter of offer of no fault of mine. They did it on their end because I did not have to re-do or re-send anything....and when they re-submitted it for the 2nd time, it passed. So their fukup...and I gotta pay for it.

None.
So, when everyone's day does arrive, are we being paid by check or is there an EMT option?

Has anyone received an offer or any information past the green checks for an early lease termination?
No, same as you, still waiting on the green checks. It's been about a week without progress. But I'm still hesitant on the next car so not in a huge hurry!

I was wondering the same. No action on mine so far and it's been a week or two since I went all-checks. It wouldn't surprise me if we're low on the priority list since a) there's no detriment to carrying on driving unless you're very close to your term max mileage and b) there's probably more hoop-jumping to do between VW Finance and Ricepoint to figure out repayment etc.

Some good news for me, I got my 4th green check-mark this Am, they accepted the used vehicle info Package, but based on posts here I may be looking at this for days to come before I receive an email and move on to the next step, I did not call anyone for almost 2 weeks,(called only once b4) and do not plan on doing so, hopefully those in need can get attended to first, as it must suck for those who've been staring at all green for 2 or 3 weeks.

Well, I received the appointment confirmation phone call from RicePoint, this morning.

Checking on the portal shows that my offer increased by about $240. Good luck to the rest of you still in limbo.

When does the call come, do they first approve your submitted offer letter?

Yes, once you sign the offer and return it to them they will approve it. Once approved you can pick a date and dealer to return it to. They will them call to confirm the mileage and the date and dealership. They then update the portal page to reflect the final offer amount (provided your mileage doesn't increase by more than 2000km from when you get the call until the return date).

People keep going on about term mileage, but not much info is provided:
What are the brackets? (0-40K - 40K-80K - 80K-120K - 120K-160K and so on????)

How do I know where I fall in this mileage bracket and prevent going over?

Seems like a lot of people are parking their TDIs to prevent adding kms but, I don't have that luxury.

24K/year (or 2K/month) is considered normal, so you look at the CBB values and your mileage and you know +/- few grand what you are gonna get in their offer.

There's a calculator at about step 11 in the process that you can play with. What we don't know for certain is exactly how much of an "allowance" is available each month.

I stopped at that step so I could play with this calculator. As far as I can tell the current mileage bands haven't changed since April 1 (or whenever they last changed). The mileage bands are dependent on what year your car is (maybe what model as well?).

I did play with the turn-in date and I think the mileage limits are only changing by 1000 km /month. I saw a mileage limit near my current mileage increase by 6000 km if a put in Nov 1 (6 months from now) as my turn in date.

I didn't do a comprehensive test, because its a PITA to use that web page, so your results may vary.

The fact these limits didn't change since April 1 is an ominous sign.
