Damn, went so quick that I didn't even stop to take some screenshots of the pages.
Once the offer is approved, the next step is a list of about a dozen questions. Asking about mileage and vehicle damage, repairs, etc. It mentions at the top that they're all standard questions used during trade in processes and that it won't affect the offer you've been given. One question asked if there's been more than $2000 repair to the vehicle, and I answered yes, as my Jetta was rear ended on the highway when it was 10 months old, and then pushed into the car in front of me in a long pile up. It asked for a dollar estimate for the repairs that had been done and I entered it.
The following page I believe was confirming the location / dealer you chose, and then it presented a calendar. June 3rd and forward was available. I don't remember how many appointments were open for the saturday, but during the weekdays the first appointment is 7:30 and there were 13 per day in total. I'm bringing mine in on June 5th.
Edit: I should also add - mine is just a straight buyback, but it seems that the process is identical for both buyback and buyback + trade. It refers to both during the whole thing.
Be happy to oblige... if ever I reach that point

PS, I wonder if RicePoint aren't working at setting up and training blocks of dealers, and those who selected dealers that are first in line to be set up are those first in line to be approved... there must be SOME reason why it isn't FIFO!!!
Not sure the process, but when you reach the calendar to choose a date and time, it looks like there's spots Mon to Sat, 1 per hour. It seems much more that there is a claims administrator assigned to each dealership and not that anyone from the dealer is being trained for processing the buyback. It mentions on the final page when choosing a date to not call the dealership and ask about the appointment.
