So what you are saying is that if you've been waiting a few days with the check marks you should call in. Good to know. I was one of the people that submitted on the 29th(couldn't get my account on 28th) and I just got my check marks, I'll wait till next Tuesday and call in then if I don't have my letter.
So like i mentioned I called at noon PST today and the supervisor just mentioned it was written May 5th etc etc and then when I got home I checked my email and I had my offer letter sent at 3:30pm PST. It was dated May 5th so he wasnt lying when he said it was drafted May 5th and just in limbo. Also, I got an email indicating they had "reviewed" all my documents whcih was weird because I had not received that May 4th when they reviewed my documents now all of a sudden received it at the same time as my offer so the system is definitely flawed.

Is there any market for a used aftermarket exhaust system? If not, why bother removing it...nobody's going to check it at your buy-back appointment.
Agree they likely wont look for that and if they do he can prove with receipts it was installed prior but why wouldnt there be a market for an aftermarket exhaust?

Well, I got an email saying my documents had been received and are under review, some eight days after getting the green check marks. So they haven't completely forgotten about me. I think we've just got to bide our time, and they'll get around to us.

Here is something i found interesting. I am interesting in migrating from my 09 jetta to an A3 TDI or E-tron. I have been told from the people responsible for the website there will be an update to the system so that I can select and Audi dealership for the location, I have yet to see this and told the audi dealership as such. They are willing to honour my offer and give me the trade in value that I would have otherwise been entitled to. Anyone else hear of this? In talking with the dealer it does sound like the Audi team is a bit of a disconnected for information updates regarding this settlement.

I found this an interesting option and helps with timing much better.
I'm trading my 2013 Passat for a 2018 Audi Q5, but the Audi dealer is well aware of the settlement. I couldn't choose a Audi dealer on the portal but my dealership says there wont be any problem at the final step. I'm stuck at the document approuval green check since may 8.

That was my timing as well - yesterday got the email exactly 8 days after green check marks. 12 hours later I received an email notifying me of the offer. Hopefully you get that soon!

I never got an email re: green check marks .... submitted April 28th at 12:40 pm ... 3 days later, my ownership front was rejected for no reason ... resubmitted exact same ownership front , and 6 days later , it was also approved... that was May 6.... last night around 7pm , I received the email saying that they had my offer available on the portal .... FWIW , I phoned on Monday of this week after seeing people with appointments , who started the process nearly 2 weeks after I did... I can't say if it helped at all , but I'm scanning the signed offer this morning and sending it back in.... My car is 2012 Jetta TDI , no outstanding loan , and going for straight buyback ... won't own another VW ever .... I lost out on the claims free warranty reward too... approximately $3K for that ... it's been parked for 6 weeks now ..... was a pretty decent car , but never got the mileage I thought I would, and I'm pissed with VW for this entire debacle .... Good luck everyone !

I'm submitting Electronically for my 2014JettaTDI and my mother's 2012GolfTDI. I submitted a typed, scanned 'Power of Attorney' for the car I don't own and they rejected it as 'illegible'. Resubmitted and waiting. I know the delays are going to affect the offer on my 2014.

Finally got my "offer" dated May 11th this morning, signed, uploaded and sent back.

I am really going to miss my daily calls with "Kyle the supervisor"

I called yesterday to find out why one of my cars got approved on the weekend but the other one was not. The rep said that "a lot of people don't understand that we categorize the cars so they are not done at the same time". I tried to get him to explain the categorization but he didn't.

This morning my second car has the green checkmarks (2011 Golf 105k) so that must have been in the 'Do These Last' category.

For me it will depend on what VW/Audi do next. The only reason I ever bought my A3 was because it was diesel, and to start the mileage was fantastic. After the first software update(not the fix) I feel like the mileage went down a bit. I didn't get too upset with the scandal as it kind of works out for me, I would be looking for a new car in the next year or two at most, so I can't complain about the extra cash now. Now what is starting to piss me off is Ricepoint's handling of this. It's not that I can't be patient but that it's not going FIFO at all.

Anyway, going back to VW/Audi, I will consider a car from them depending on what the company is doing. If they continue to be involved in scandals, and recalls(latest fuel pump defect), I won't even care what they have on the lot. If they go back to producing good cars it will depend on if they have what I want. If they release a A4(diesel) to compete with the 328d and XE, or a Q3/Q5 to go against the F-Pace/E-Pace/X3 diesel options, then it will peak my interest. If not then I will probably stay loyal to Jaguar.

Submitted files on Sunday May 14th, green check marks May 17th.
Now what?

I want to keep the car for the summer (planned holiday trips), trade in come September or October. Can I decide on the appointment date for late August?

Yes. You will eventually be presented with an on-line calender where you can choose whatever date you wish for turn in.

Aren't you limited to 2000km once that date is set? not sure how that will work out for someone who wants to turn it in at a later date.

2000 kms per month
Not 2000 kms from the time you set appointment to the time you turn in your car

Yeah, uncanny eh?
I just received an email telling me that they received the offer letter and are now reviewing it.
Nice. I got the same email just after uploading the signed offer as well.

Curious how long this stage will take.

I have not checked your past posts but have you called them?

I have been waiting for a week....called them Monday, Tuesday and today. And today I finally received an answer that I am satisfied with (for now).

They told me that my letter of offer was drafted shortly after uploading documents. That draft is then sent to 1st audit where it is accepted or denied. It can be denied if you the owner makes a mistake on submission of your accident history or mileage or contact info. It can also be denied by the person (or machine) doing up the draft. So the 1st stage audit is a human that goes through each one by one. Should one get denied...it goes back to the line to be re-drafted.
If you've been waiting almost 3 weeks....find out where the issue is with yours...if its audit then some info is not correct and might save you some time.

Submitted April 28

After 7 calls (Supervisor, priority, blah blah), documents got approved yesterday (may 16).

I'm almost certain that calling is useless. But, we don't really have any other choice...

Registered on april 28th, everything was accepted on April 29th (Green checkmarks) nothing since then.. I have called multiple times yes and spoke with supervisors and they see the letter of offer from May 4th but there was some issue with it and it was sent to a different team on May 10th.. nothing since.

I think the "other team" is back to those who draft the letters. If you have called several times you'll know that some reps speak "clearer" than others....I had a hard time understanding what 2 of them meant until I spoke to a lady that was very clear in her explanations.
If your letter was drafted May 4th....and send to another team May 10th....its a similar situation to mine....drafted May 9th.....sent back to be re-drafted May 15th (5 days apart for both of us).
The only thing you got on me...is that you submitted Apr28th....I did it May 1st...so you should be more pissed than me. But then again, remember that they supposedly had a fukup with the Apr 28 & 29 submissions.

What happens at the buyback appointment?

A friend of mine is getting a buyback on his passat that has been sitting since it had a waterpump issue. He can only drive it about 10 kms before it starts overheating. What exactly is the process during the buyback appointment? Do they take it for a test drive? Let it idle for long periods? He's just worried it will start overheating before he gets his cheque.

thanks.

Jack
