Lol...thank you for answering my questions...Also, it sounded like the Bell call center is handling the phone calls, so if you're Hindi isn't strong...
Day #18Anybody from Quebec get the offer or call yet?
It's green on mine.I am at the documents accepted stage and according to the help line, my letter of offer has been prepared (4 days ago) and is being 'reviewed' before release. Frustrating. When I log in the number 15 in the circle is red. Is this normal?
In any other context I'd say it's unbelievable but given my experiences with RicePoint I believe you!Day #18
Can you believe my documents are still not approved? I just called and, again, the guy put a "priority" on my claim. I wasn't able to talk to a "supervisor" because it was to early but he's suppose to call me back (yeah, sure).
Again, same song each time. It's really a joke.
It's not FIFO, it's FILO![]()
There's NOTHING in the settlement that says HOW you have to pay your remaining loan or where the cash comes from - only that you have to come up with the cash.We do have a 2013 Passat highline with sport group we have 50 000 km. They offer us 24 800$ plus the 5 500$ sorry money. I did choose the trade in. What upset me is that it seem we'll have to pay the 11 000$ remaining before being able to trade. Why can't we transfer the balance on the new car? My salesman said to me I could, but I did read everywhere we can't. That's stupid.
No, they will only care if you're below your total allowed mileage for the duration of your lease.Wow... Seems like several people are making progress this weekend., it's definitely encouraging!! Regarding the mileage thing... 2,000 Kms max allowed after your phone call is made to you for the return date; what's the process for an early lease termination ? Inspection ? Mileage? For example : a 48 month lease with 100,000kms allowance... Current mileage 40,000kms. Would they base the mileage on 25,000kms a year? Anyone please chime in...
TIA

The differences in the next phase might be caused by the nature of your case ... straight buyback with no money owned or not? Keep that in mind.Ugh - 35min on hold and then Daniel said "Yes, everything has been accepted and approved, they are working on your offer letter"...
Documents submitted May 01
Steps 15 went Green May 4th
Hurry up and wait? I'm not in that much of a rush but to read posts above of other people having submitted docs, gotten approval and received offer letters since is a wee bit frustrating.
I already talked to a supervisor last week and he told me that he did escalate it... I wanted to do it again this morning but it was to early to talk to a supervisor (7:30 am).I turned green, somewhere between Fri 7pm and Mon 7:30am ... didn't get an e-mail, so I have no exact idea.
It seems that my Fri 5:30 pm afternoon call worked. I was 45mins on hold, first line rep gave me the standard line. This time I asked for supervisor, to be told that all supervisors are gone. So as I was going to leave my callback phone # ... I said that I find it hard to believe that all supers are gone while they are still not officially closed. Than the rep mentioned that, I really want she will get someone for me ... of course I agreed. 3 minutes later a supervisor comes on, we quickly agree that it is unacceptable and he agrees I waited long enough. So he says that he will immediately escalate it directly to the validation department, so it is done in priority. I guess he didn't lie.
If you call, make sure you stay on and speak to supervisor, and ask for direct validation dep. escalation. Anything else will probably not work .. because it's just talk.
Before I concluded the call, I did say, that he should not only fix my application, but everybody else's from the Apr 28-Apr 30, because there still many people waiting from the early three days. He didn't disagree ....
Straight buyback/trade in, nothing owed. The differences in the next phase might be caused by the nature of your case ... straight buyback with no money owned or not? Keep that in mind.
I already talked to a supervisor last week and he told me that he did escalate it... I wanted to do it again this morning but it was to early to talk to a supervisor (7:30 am).
I also sent emails to RicePoint, lawyers, VW Canada... but I know that this might be useless.
Of course I will continue to call, I don't have any other solution. But for sure I will not have my money soon...
So, I guess, I am bracing myself for another wait, since I am a straight buyback as well. I guess will have to make the calls to supervisors my daily routine, until I have an offer. Strange that they would design the process this way ... LOLStraight buyback/trade in, nothing owed.

OMG, he lied to meI talked to a supervisor this morning at 7:15.
I have called in so many times that I am getting the same supervisors now.So, I guess, I am bracing myself for another wait, since I am a straight buyback as well. Same here. Trade-in, on another VW (Golf TSI wagon, Trendline). Never anything owed on the car, it was paid for in cash.Straight buyback/trade in, nothing owed.
They are unbelievable. I spoke to kyle as well this morning at 7:15. LolI have called in so many times that I am getting the same supervisors now.
Last Wednesday they re approved my previously approved documents, and was to get put back into to priority with anyone with document approval on May 3rd. And was told by the supervisor that I would most likely get an offer letter in the next couple of days.
No offer letter on Friday, so I called in Friday night and got transferred to a supervisor who advised that they are working hard to get everyone done and should only be a couple more days at most.
Just called in again this morning at 10 am and told that no supervisors were there, I said put me on hold until one comes to work. 30 minutes longer on hold to have a supervisor named Kyle (who was the same guy that helped me last Wednesday) but with a whole new attitude today. He started into telling me that Ricepoint is complying with the timelines specified in the court order and that they have until December 2018 to complete. Just another example of what a piss poor job the lawyers who were supposed to represent us did for us. Kyle also said that 2 business days had not gone by since I had called in on Friday. I said if Rice Point is staffing people on Saturdays and Sundays, and claims work is being done on those days, they are business days, he said no, look up business day in a dictionary... I'm not sure what else he was saying when I hung up on him.
I am just going to keep calling in every couple of hours to torment them now. I have thick skin, the car in in the garage, going to drop the insurance today so that I don't keep incurring expenses monthly as I have a suspicion that Kyle was going to see to it that my final offer gets delayed. Who knows, I might even drop the oil out of the car, and use my CAA membership to tow it to the dealership when the time comes, and then drive it into the parking lot running under it's own power.
I am very happy for the people who have had a smooth process. I am convinced that they have randomly picked a few cases each day that they hand hold start to finish, that they can use as examples if the lawyers or judge ask for proof that the system is working. This is the only reasonable explanation why some are going quickly and the rest of us are getting the run around.

Good to see Ricepoint giving themselves a well deserved pat on the back...
One wonders just how well trained those 450 agents will be. Bet on it: eligible owners being declared ineligible and having to fight tooth-and-nail to have the decision corrected...https://www.vwcanadasettlement.ca/w...2017UpdateontheProgressoftheClaimsProgram.pdf

I am confident that the 105000th owner to submit will only have to go through half as many delays and BS that the rest of us have endured. One wonders just how well trained those 450 agents will be. I am confident that the 105000th owner to submit will have his money before me. I'll be the last one for sure!I am confident that the 105000th owner to submit will only have to go through half as many delays and BS that the rest of us have endured.
