I wasn't asking for it to be my regular fill spot, but if I do go past it I intend to make sure that my tank is fuller than when I arrived ;)

Unless you drive right by those stations on 6, it's not worth the effor to go out of your way to save a couple bucks on a tank.
I used to do Kitchener / Stoney Creek for years, so getting a really good price on Hwy 6 was always appreciated. :D

a & I in Woodstock (formerly eric's west-end full-serve esso) on the south side of dundas is $1.059. check your receipt @ the kiosk and insist that they print out diesel cuz they'll just print gas @ $.899 & should there be a problem...
independent grocer in Ingersoll was $1.069

I saw that when planning a KW-Ottawa drive. I wasn't sure if there was an issue with getting fuel from the reserve (I'm not native), if it was off-road etc.

For future reference is it ok for non-natives to buy fuel on reserve and drive it off reserve? Is that station selling on-road or off-road diesel?

No issues anyone can buy fuel there. That price is for regular diesel. They do sell dyed diesel as well but i didnt notice the price.

I've been buying diesel at the reserve for a few years now. There's always a steady stream of cars there and it appears to be good fuel. Last week it was $92.9. Sometimes it's 30c/liter less than the Flying J!;)

Got diesel for $1.05 the other day. I wish I was paying the gas prices.
I listened to a podcast on the gasbuddy site - diesel prices are high due to refinery issues restricting supply. It's supposed to be fixed and diesel prices come down in the next few weeks.

diesel prices are high due to gouging. the oil companies are 'losing' money on gasoline so they're sticking it to the diesel buyers; the gullible public is loving the lower gas prices but those of us who buy food aren't. most food still gets to market via diesel trucks.

Time to buy a v8!
:D:D only if you think this is going to last. when the price gets too low, and all that gas they're currently pulling out of the ground south of the border and in Alberta costs more to mine than they can sell it for, prices will start to go up. Apparently US refineries are already buying more offshore oil than is produced in the US. it will tank. :rolleyes:

The price spread between gasoline and diesel is about the same in the US as here. We pay more because of the taxes that goes health care and so on.

It depends on where you are. On my trip to Florida last month, I observed gasoline prices range from $1.77/gal to $2.35/gal along the I75. Diesel was $2.79/gal to 3.29/gal. But high gas prices did not necessarily mean high diesel prices in the same state. The spread varied widely.

Currently, the average price for gas in the US is about $2.04/gal. Diesel is $2.82. That is a significant increase in price between gas & diesel.

Gas - US$2.04 x 1.24 = C$2.53 / 3.78 = C$.67/L
Diesel - US$2.82 x 1.24 = C$3.50 / 3.78 = C$.93/L

In Ontario, gas is around $.92/L and diesel is around $1.03. A difference of 11 cents per litre versus 26 cents per litre in the US.

Diesel for $2.18 a gallon in Bastrop Texas today while passing through. At the Sac & Pac. Long line of trucks trying to get into a station that was not designed for big rigs... Regular gas was $1.79. In my estimate, diesel should be about 15% higher than gas, so it should fall a bit more before it stabilizes. ( I hope)..
