Diesel Haiku

The Golf clatters--
White smoke of cold.
Morning begins.

Volkswagen diesel
turbo, direct injection.
Torque - not horsepower.

leseid, OilBurnerBob: You guys gave me a great laugh! I had to take 20 minutes out of a tight "meet-a-deadline" schedule to craft one myself.

One disclaimer: I fielded a phone call and was eating lunch at the time, so I wasn't in the proper "Zen" frame of mind. (Plus, an associate walked into my office as I was using both hands to count the syllables. Imagine trying to explain what I was doing. Fortunately, I'm not an accountant). I humbly present mine:

Forlorn fuel pump waits
Three weeks and still no fill-up?
Go diesel Golf, go

At least that's the way it used to be many years ago when somebody made that up.

But no longer true however.
