Did anyone get the chase e-mail today?

I'm still waiting to hear back with the chase e-mail for the EFT. I turned my car in on December 16 at 4:30pm so I expected to get something yesterday but nothing arrived. Really hoping it comes today!

Already been 2 business days

It's been two business days. Monday and now Tuesday.
I noticed that ppl who turned in their cars on Saturday already got paid.
This wait is making me really nervous! I wish I just got a check

Hang in there, so far from everything I've read there have been a few glitches which is to be expected and a couple people at one dealership who hadn't gotten paid (in the beginning) had a bad buyback ambassador who actually got fired but they did receive their money. So far, I don't believe anyone has not received their money.

Two questions:
  1. Did you get e-mail confirmation from VWGoA immediately after rep completed transaction at appointment?
  2. Does the portal show that your claim has been completed?
If not, then there may have been a glitch in your transaction.

Turned in Beetle 12/19 at 1130. Got Chase email 12/20 at 530 pm. One down one to go. For some reason the other car is taking forever at every step.

Yes to both. Got the email while at the dealership. They both say complete. I guess I will wait one more day and call on Thursday.
Is there a phone # to call chase about it or just call the claims number? I heard there's a different number somwhere

Chase Payments = 855.267.0428 (from e-mail from them). If you call claims number, answer will be "Someone will call you back within 3 days." I wouldn't wait given the holidays...

Turned one in also on the 16th, @ 6:00 pm. Got the email last night around 9pm, and money in the bank this afternoon. I'd be calling.

I called both the chase # and the claims dept. The lady at chase said that they haven't received anything from VW yet.

The guy at VW claims told me that it can take anywhere from 3-5 business days to receive the e-mail. When I told him how people turning in the car two days after me are receiving the email he said that its a "lottery" on how things are processed.
It seemed obvious he had no information on it at all. Hopefully I get it today!

As I'm reading this, I received the email and just set up the transfer. I turned in my car @ 5pm last night 12/20/2016. Received the Chase email @ 8:27 this evening. Just received another email confirming the transfer and stating that any non-Chase account transfer after 8pm will take an additional day to transfer. I'll anticipate the money in my account on Friday.

According to the FTC settlement document (Document 2104, page 35), they only have 3 days maximum:
"XIII. F. For Eligible Owners who elect a Buyback, upon receipt of the title to the Eligible Vehicle by Defendant or a Volkswagen Dealer (or other entity authorized by Defendant) and the surrender of the Eligible Vehicle to a Volkswagen Dealer (or other entity authorized by Defendant), (i) an EFT shall be submitted within 3 banking days or (ii) a check shall be provided immediately at the time of the Buyback."
It's high time for them to figure out what happened and to fix it!

I arrived at the dealer yesterday at about 3:10 PM. I got the receipt email at 3:24PM, and got the email from Chase today at 6:27 PM. Immediately after putting in my bank details, I got this email:

This email is to confirm that you recently requested a direct deposit for your payment into your bank account ending in XXXX.

If you have transferred to a Chase account before 8pm ET, the funds will be deposited into your account at the start of the next business day. For non-Chase accounts, it may take up to 2-3 business days. Any acceptance after 8pm ET will require an extra business day of processing.

If you have any questions about this notice or feel that you received this in error, please contact Chase Customer Service at the toll free number listed below:

855-267-0428
I'm entirely satisfied with the process now. I'm still at ground zero on my Jetta trying to get documents in.

Got the receipt yesterday at 3:57pm. Got the Chase email tonight about 6:28pm. Logged in to the Chase thing and had my data entered at 7:08pm (I was out and about when the email came).

All in all it has worked well for me. I suspect to morrow or the next day the money will be in the account.

It's been 72 hours (approx.) since I turned in my car. No email from Chase yet. I did get a receipt email saying the transaction has been completed. Probably need to call Chase to see what the issue is.

Glad to know I'm not the only person with this problem.

Let me know if you have any success and I will do the same!

Chase said that they have not received anything from VW regarding my payment, and that the ball was in VW's court, so to speak. Strange.

Spoke with Charmain (sp?) at the VW Claims line. She said to allow for at least 3-5 business days before getting an email from Chase. We shall see!

Timeline is one business day for e-mail with 3-days total for EFT to occur -- they are blowing smoke! (Partial Stipulated Order For Permanent Injunction and Monetary Judgment, As Approved by the United States District Court, page 35)

Woke up this morning to a deposit in my account from "VOLKSWAGEN OF AM". From EFT details to deposit was about 14 hours. Using USAA.

They both told me the exact same thing. Today is the 4th business day for me since I turned my car in on Friday.

My e-mail from Chase also didn't show up when I expected it. I checked my "Junk" folder and there it was - and the process has proceeded normally since then. It's possible that your e-mail system may work the same way as mine does.

I asked the VW claims rep about that. She said as long as the EFT is sent out within 3 business days the timing of the email from Chase is irrelevant. She was insistent that the "24 hour email" rule was nonsense. Well, I'm at business day 3 and nothing. Chase doesn't have me in their system so clearly the problem is on VW's end.

I'm around 31 hours since my buyback and no email from chase yet. Should I start to worry yet?

Edit: Just got the email at 8:32 PM and setup the transfer.
