I just got my first vw its a 2013 passat tdi the egr value is going bad and im thinking about doing a delete kit but I dont have a clue about the motor any help would be appreciated

Are you covered by the extended emissions warranty? If so and it has a check engine light or fault for it it should be covered. CKRA engine code according to idparts.com.

Rawtek delete kit and Malone Stage 2 tune is great

Good combo but not cheap at all when you factor in labor to install, if you don't do it yourself. Maybe $1k for the tune and kit and another for labor to install everything. If it is under warranty why spend this money? If not then it may be the best route for some.

I read a recent article somewhere about the EPA cracking down on the sellers for "delete" kits for diesels, trucks and cars. I don't think they are after consumers, yet.
