Delete in NC

I am in Greenville SC and looking for a shop to delete my particulate filter.
Does anyone have any experience with any shops in NC/SC. Thanks in advance.

NC had a few shops that got hit hard by the feds due to deleted and related tunes recently. Fines are in the millions. Not many places are advertising this type of work as it's a Federal crime to modify or delete emissions items...even if it does make them more reliable and more efficient.

Also your title says in NC and your posting says Greenville SC, those two Greenville's are no where close to each other. Makes it sound like you're a fed....and not a very good one if you can't keep your locations straight(not sure there are many good feds when it comes to three letter agencies). No offense if you're not a fed, my posts are riddled with typos thanks to phone made posts.

Greenville pretty close to NC border but not very populated over on That area of NC compared to Greenville I’d think. I’d hate to think it’s a fed but not a long shot with VW scandal and maybe there’s no more openings to investigate parents at school boards or Latin rite Catholic parishes. To op: Probably not a good idea for the forums and the rest of us to be soliciting illegal stuff I’d imagine.

The Fed's are browsing craiglist and Facebook classifieds for your modified diesels being sold so they can force you to take tags/insurance off the vehicle or return it to stock.

They are bringing hand held 2 cycle engines like chainsaws or string trimmers to have the carb "adjusted" because it's bogging so they can bust small engine shops for EPA violations.


I wouldn't put them past joining a forum to see what who they can go after next.

I have to agree with the others. Without context your request is very illegal. Now if your bracket racing or off roading then there is plenty of performance shops that might be of value.
BTW - TDIs with DSGs make great bracket racing cars!

I apologize if I have stirred the pot. I am not a fed I am a consumer that doesn’t want to pay the ridiculous amount to replace the filter. I would like to also upgrade the exhaust as well.

I live in Greenville, SC but I travel both states for work. Once again I apologize for the ambiguity.

Get a new downpipe and install it yourself, problem solved.
