DEF Leak...

On my '15 Passat TDI, my DEF is leaking under the good , onto my engine cover, ...
I know---Its covered. under warranty...but...
Until I can get it in to VW,
will the dried-up white crystals of DEF that are in my engine compartment ruin anything...
