That sounds fun! I guess we should try to stick with Saturday. I imagine that a few people will bow out due to the weather, but many of us will make it like the postal service - rain, snow, or shine.I can't go Sunday either. Have to run to Northern Pa to pick up a dump truck.
It really depends on the forecast honestly. It's still a bit too far out to know for sure what's going to happen. I'm seeing a snow storm is mostly what's being called for then change over to ice in the evening. My tires seem to do quite well in the snow, ice... not so much.Yes, the weather forecast is not looking good. Depending who else is interested, I will attend but in the "beater" beetle or truck. Certainly, not the rust free B4. .
As cold as the ground is, it reads that there will be significant icing. It might be wise to Slip to Sunday or delay for 1 week.
What is the sense of the group?
You'll be out of the TDI ranks by IMPEXFEST.I will be there in my new toy! 2015 Jetta SEL TDI Tornado Red/Titan Black Interior 6 Speed Manual......yes folks I will be back in the TDI ranks in the next few days!
NOAA is only forecasting 3-4" for the Northern VA area tomorrow, and just shy of 3" for Annapolis. It looks like it's going to turn into ice followed by rain later in the afternoon/evening. Not too bad.
NOAA is also showing just shy of 4" for Baltimore. You guys need to stop using these services that are powered by The Weather Channel. You'll be out of the TDI ranks by IMPEXFEST.
I will be out for tomorrow, already have plans. But it looks like those will be snowed out anyways. WU is saying 8-12 inches in Baltimore now.
I'm okay with a noon start time. The weather forecast is for snow to start around 4 PM in the area. Let's evaluate this evening. Possibly advance the time from 1 pm to Noon.
A 2003 Eddie Excursion 6.0? I was hunting for one of those before I got the Touareg. Very nice truck! I won't be upset if you show up in it.We will be there either way. My golf actually does really well in the snow, as long as it isn't too deep. Of course, there is always the Jeep or the Excursion to fall back on.
