Anyone else see this?

It just seems to happen every now and then. At which point I start to wonder if maybe I hit the wrong side by mistake. Then I try to really pay attention. Then it happens when I'm not paying attention.

Just curious if anyone else has had this happen.

Doesn't feel like I'm hitting wrong side. And seems like out of nowhere I click down and it bumps up instead sometimes a cpl MPH

I remember reading something about that before - if the button was hit within a certain period of time? Certainly sounds familiar!

If you press the minus button in rapid succession once the cruise control is set, it will decrease the speed by 1 mph per click. If you press it rapidly a few times (enough to reduce the desired cruise control speed) but then wait for a slightly longer period of time while the car coasts to the lower desired speed before you press the minus button again, it won't continue to reduce desired cruise control speed. Instead, it will obey the "set" command--also on the minus button--and set the cruise control to whatever speed you are coasting. It gives the effect of making the minus button actually increase the desired cruise control speed.

Nothing's broken, and you aren't crazy:). This is simply a nuance of the cruise control you have to understand and get used to. In my opinion, the "set" button should be disabled once the cruise control is actually set. This would fix this annoyance.

There is a timeout on the button, as it serves two purposes - decelerate and set. In rapid succession, it will decelerate with each press, but if you wait to long, it will change its function and set the current speed at which you're traveling (which may be faster than what you have it set to, depending on conditions). I believe the delay is something like two seconds.

This is what I was trying to describe, but you did a bit better job than I did.

To help, if you want to decrease speed, keep the minus button pressed until you reach the desired speed.
