Cracked v-tex drivers seat...

The v-tex on my front seat is cracking... I'm out of warranty (70,000 miles 2012 JSW TDI) and I am a person of "size". So I know I wear stuff out.

Is there a way to repair this? I have noticed other posts about cracking V-Tex, but nothing about repairing it, or even replacing it.

I've looked online but I don't see OEM seat covers available, and I don't see how any aftermarket seat covers would do anything but bunch up and look bad after a few days of me getting in and out of the car.

Any thoughts? Or should I just go to an auto upholstery shop and see what they say?

Not the best pics, and it's not a huge crack/tear but it's only gonna get worse...

I had a vinyl truck seat repaired at a local car upholstery shop. It was a simple for them. They just ordered some matching material and sewed it in to replace the bad section. You couldn't tell it had ever been repaired. It did cost a couple of hundred dollars, but I was happy to have a nice new seat.

I've seen other people that had success with some of those vinyl repair kits, but I never tried it myself. Of course I've also seen many cars with repairs done with duct tape. ;)

I've used a vinyl repair kit years ago. Easy to use. Works well.

Bought the kit after working on my car and sat in the front seat with a screwdriver sticking out of my rear pocket.

Mine is in way rougher shape than that (280 pounder here). Figured I'd just deal with until I go to sell it.
