As the weather is warming here in the northeast, we are gearing up for a busy spring/summer. Check out this link to a spring sale that we have running. We can start to schedule installs immediately although our turbos are still a few weeks from arriving.
The turbos, labor, and tuning are all discounted for this sale. Check out the page to get a quote on the turbo kit and more.
We plan to run this sale through the end of April. You can sign up (25% deposit required) beginning now and will receive the parts when they come in or if you need installation we can schedule your install for anytime through the end of summer. We will contact you after initial signup to discuss your install time frame and other details. Paying the deposit will hold your discount until you get the installation done.
Note: We will begin contacting everyone individually beginning April 1st to schedule the installs and/or to discuss the details for each order as well as taking deposits. Please be patient as we will contact everyone in the order received. Also, please inform us of any questions or issues with the sale page or note in the option box (available at the end) anything not mentioned in the page flow that you want to purchase or need installed.

Regards, Les @ GDM

How long do you plan to keep the sale going?
I think about late spring or early summer I'll be ready.

Is the turbo kit the price installed? When you go through the form it asks you what items you would like installed, but doesn't give you a Turbo option. Just exhaust, intercooler, clutch, and other.

This is the one I was thinking about. RyanP says they have been using it on the CR170's...

That's pretty insane Les; nice! Obviously, it would be best to get all the supporting mods; but you can get into a Stage III CR for less than $3k installed if you really wanted to!

Hi Les,

Can you make an option for no exhaust as I have one from my previous TDi.

Thanks, hopefully I get the funds together before this sale ends.

If your on the fence, IMO if you do this you will enjoy the car everyday you drive it. The same thing happened to me and I sorry I waited and I didn't have the advantage of these prices either!

I was all budgeted out to do Stage 2. I had Stage 2 on my last car and I loved it. I just don't think I can afford the supporting mods and labor for stage 3 right now. Maybe next winter.

I'm doing another "Mod" to the car that is going to tie up some funds, but this deal is killer. I already enjoy driving the car every day, my main reason for wanting to do this is actually only for longevity reasons. The bigger turbo will work less, and get me many more years of driving the car. I'm really thinking hard about this one :D

Does anyone have any data on how much lower egt is with the CR170 turbo & S3 intercooler (vs. Stage 2 with straight pipe)? I don't know if this is still the case but originally guys (like me) were getting stage 2 and realizing the ecu would cut fuel because we were reaching max EGT in a matter of seconds. I'm particularly interested in how much improved this condition is. With Stage 3 can you hold WOT for a long time (1-2minutes on a pass ascension, for example)? This is my biggest ***** about Stage 2 - on the raged edge with EGT and my understanding is turbo size is the biggest factor on that. Thoughts?

Hmm, well that's unfortunate.
It sounds like the only option right now is a SMF, using a Fluidamper, and changing to steel synchros. That's a lot of coin to upgrade your clutch!
I may just go with a Stage 2 tune without removing all the emissions stuff to start with. However I would likely disable the EGR once it's warmed up. Then maybe later on down the line go with a CR170 or better once all the supporting mods are completed. Def need a LSD to get all the power to the ground, so if I'm cracking the tranny I'd rather do the LSD, Shifter fork reinforcement and syncro upgrade all in one go :)
Then again another member here has stage 3 and running a stock tranny w/LSD. He had to replace the syncros 3 times so far iirc. He recently did a fluidampr upgrade that's defiantly improved the gear chatter and reliability. Heard his car in person and it sounds bone stock from the engine bay. From the back is a different story of coarse :D
