How much fueling are you guys injecting atm? It seem limit of stock pump is around 100 mg stroke at 3000 rpm. maybe slightly less at redline. I made a car with 2260vk and at it gets around 95 mg at peak torque with no issues with 1800 bar, I only once had the limp mode for rail pressure undershoot. so this tells me its not soo far of the limit of the pump.

dunno, I guess not because it happened at peak torque, there the total fuel flow is smaller than at peak power.

I haven't had this problem yet with vag cr..
I normally have too much smoke before i have railpressure problems..
I had same problem with a 123d a few weeks ago..

Smoke is non existant here, lambda 1.3, egt is after 4000 rpm in 5th and 6th, even with smoke free lambda.. In summer it will be time for intercooler upgrade i fear.. Pulls easy to 250kph now =) wonder if I should remove the limit

Incase you didn't hear from Mark, he wants 001-099-141 logs (turbo mode if possible) as well as 001-008-011 logs. I plan on doing them tomorrow

no the storm drain became clogged from something and because the drain was the slope of the highway it pooled up and then eventually flowed over the edge of the road and created a mudslide

Sorry things have been kinda slow.. i have had a lot going on in my life aswell i recently had to replace my entire transmission... long story short.. i was accelerating up a onramp and my drivers side axle sheered right off.. got it home.. replaced the axle and shortly afterwards i started to get a noise in my transmission... that seemed to be coming from the axle output area... so i went to check my fluid in the tranny and it was bone dry.... replaced the fluid and took it for a spin the loud noise was still present.. so i dropped the tranny off at local tranny shop and he called me up to come down and showed me that i had hair line cracks in numerious places on the inside of the tranny.. and also that the heat must have warped the case cause gears were not meshing correctly anymore... so i bought a new tranny and im riding on it right now... im hopeing to start building my cylinder head but i know tdisyncro is super busy these days also..

well.. i took the old tranny apart to seperate aluminum from other metals last night.. to try and clean up the garage some.. the differential about to explode i think.. there was so much play in the bearings... and when i stripped everything out.. the bearings were pretty much toast.. no longer rotated smooth..

Wow. I can't believe I just read through this entire thread. Very entertaining. Good luck with your car... the more power you make, the more stuff is going to break. ;)

Thanks, I think the more enjoyable part of this whole process has been that people like you enjoy reading it...between the hippys complaining about soot pollution...it's nice to hear someone say things like this from time to time...I believe this will be enjoyed by many more as vw announced that over 1/4th of sales in 2013 have been tdi...that they nearing 1/3rd of sales since Audi announcing the release of there tdi line...

Yeah, no worries Storx. At the end of the day, it's your car, your money, and your time. As long as you're happy with the end result, that's all that really matters. I really did enjoy reading the whole process from start to where you are now. It's given me a few ideas for a project of my own.

For now, I'm starting small... getting a Malone stage 2 tune plus all associated hardware changes in mid October. After that, perhaps some additional mods to try to reach 200 whp. While I admire your desire to get one of the baddest TDI's around, I have to balance my desire for speed and performance with overall long-term reliability. As such, 200 hp either at the wheels (or even at the crank), and I'll probably be satisfied. :)

Still, I've sort of lived vicariously through your experiences and am happy for you in slowly achieving your goal! I hope you get to post a video of some 1/4 mile runs when all is said and done.

Cheers,
amstel

P.S. I know you wrote that you were moving down to Florida. Has that happened yet? Only reason I ask is I grew up in the Clearwater/Tampa Bay area... Safety Harbor to be exact. My folks still live there. Mom's got a 3 series BMW, while my dad has a GT500. I miss Florida...
