I am in the process of swapping in a cp3 pump with the 643 metering valve into my cjaa swapped q5.
my swap uses a european ecu so no tuner in the states will touch it. It already has a tune but the tuner is no longer available to fix this.
Does anyone know what needs to be done in the tune to make this metering valve work correctly?

I may have found someone to make the adjustments to the file. From reading through the ecu documentation I've seen there are about 30 different individual settings just for the metering valve itself let alone all the rail pressure settings. These ecu are pretty complex but very adjustable devices.

Im from germany. The origin of VAG. So... what can you say.

You basically wanna say: Its kinda like engineers work tuning / dial them in the right way?

Software. Ive tuned a lot CP3 R90 2.0TDI conversions and also many of those "P&P R70 kits" out there.
Which are not so much P&P when you start to log the rail pressure. Its just not enough to trigger limp, but far away from a
clean, nice and stable rail pressure.
The software needs to match the characteristics of the Pump and the MeUn and then the rail pressure gets stable at some point.
For me: Dialing in a CP3 takes up to 15 revisions alone, till im satisfied with the result and the rail pressure is looking like OE.
Normal drive / Full throttle / off throttle and on throttle reaction.

This sounds great! Could you please do this so I can drive my car again?
