Costco item# for H6 battery?

Does anyone have a current Costco item number for an H6 battery for the 2015 Mk7 TDI? I pulled an item# (8850276) from an earlier thread but my local Costco told me that item# was obsolete.

I was battery shopping 2 weeks ago and my Costco carried an interstate H6 conventional. I was looking for AGM so went to NAPA instead but Costco had them on the shelf.

What I did was found a on-line VW dealer with the lowest price for part # 000 915 105 DG and they matched the price.
I dont have the receipt with me. I'm working out of town and won't be back home till Saturday, but it was within $10 of other brand batteries.

As of June 2021, Costco does indeed stock an H6(48) battery as item# 8852242 priced at $114.99. It's a 70Ah Interstate 36mo standard battery. $15 core. My store in Redwood City, CA had many of these in stock, and surprisingly, when the technician asked for my year-make-model, their computer listed the H6 size for my 2015 Mk7 TDI.

Not everything Costco sells is listed online. Especially since Interstate runs the battery racks at Costco and BJs.

I just installed it, used vcds to code the three uds battery adaptation parameters, and it seems to be working well.

whats the difference between AGM vs non AGM battery other than $40 in price and a few CCA?

The electrolyte is a gel instead of a sloshing liquid. Allows for the battery to be exposed to more extremes, vibration, and inverted.

For 99% of people, it’ll make no difference.

About to go to Costco and get an H6 AGM Interstate battery for my daughter 2013 Gold TDI. Do I need to do anything with VCDS(?) I know my BMW needs some updating of the computer when I change batteries. Does the 2013 Golf need anything programmed?

There's nothing to do with VCDS on the MK6 (PQ35) platform for batteries. Maybe if you had a 2020 Passat.
