I emailed requesting diesel in Santa Cruz, CA and I got a response right away that they are planning on rolling it out this summer when they renovate the station. Sure enough there are city planning notices posted at the station for improvements right now.

Costco hopefully coming to NJ

I inquired about getting diesel at my nearby Costco and they told me they were awaiting the approval process. If successful maybe in operation by fall 2015.

I've been using their regulsr gas for years without any trouble.

Temecula is about 10 minutes away, their prices are average. Their diesel pumps are connected to a regular gasoline pump, so the lines will still be long because the lines will be mixed with gassers and diesels. I don't like getting diesel at Costco because I always feel rushed, I add the cetane boost and top off the filler neck, so a fill up will probably be +/- 8 minutes.

Not coming to Lexington, KY. However, the folks in NKY will be able to get it at the new store in Erlanger. I think Costco is planning on bringing it all new stores.

I wrote to Costco to see if they had any plans for the DC Area, and no such luck unfortunately!

For Texas I doubt Costco will be able to offer anything special as compared to D2 from other price competitive sources such Murphy Oil (mostly B5 min to B20), Valero (B0 to B5), Kroger, Race Trac, etc.

I have been using the Costco diesel from The Woodlands, Texas location since it opened. The price is consistently the best around and no problems to date. Being close to work is a plus too.

I contacted Costco regarding the Suburban Chicago IL. area and received this response;

Dear Mr. (name deleted),

Thank you for your inquiry about Costco diesel. Currently, we are planning to add diesel to our St. Charles and Mt. Prospect locations when we expand the gas stations. We hope to complete construction at these two sites this Summer. We do not yet have any other Illinois locations on our list, but we're just starting our diesel program and hope to have diesel at as many locations as possible.

The Costco in Billings has had diesel for a few months now, and their prices seem to be lower than anyplace else that's convenient, and the quality seems to be as good as anyone else's around here. They've also installed new screens on their card readers that are easy to see in direct sunshine which I really appreciate.

I've been buying their diesel at the South Jordan, UT location for quite some time now. I have no complaints, except that I'm sure they're doing a bio diesel mixture. I can't find any documentation about it, nor is it labelled on the pump. Without a shadow of a doubt, there must be at least a small amount because it changes the exhaust smell the same way running B100 does.

Not really a complaint, I guess, but I won't be putting it through my 2015 until I can get some clear answers on the percentage. As far as prices, they're consistently the lowest in the area.

Edit:

I just spoke with a representative at Costco. Sounds like they plan to add diesel to "as many fuel stations as possible". I wish they would sell fuel after hours now.

$2.17/gallon for diesel today at the South Jordan, UT costco. About 35 cents cheaper than anywhere else, and about 42 cents less than the cheapest RUG price. Finally a break for diesel price after 8 years of inflated price. I wonder how long it will last.
