Console Trim Replacement

How many have experience switching out the deteriorating console trim panel that surrounds the shifter. My knee hits mine and it's falling apart. I see a few for sale online and even some carbon fiber ones too. Trying to figure out about tackling this project.

That’s the easiest part of the center console to replace, go for it. I keep my leg off of it due to that reason.

FWIW- I received the console piece today. It was ordered from California but was drop shipped from China. $60 including free shipping from Amazon. It's a solid piece of ABS plastic so no deterioration on this piece. Only con is an obvious seam on both sides.
