I'm going to a junkyard to look for some original rims to replace the ridiculously wide ones my used 2015 Golf TDI came with.

Is there a comprehensive list somewhere of which models/model years, etc., all had the same rim sizes (for example, 6Jx15 ET43)?

Thanks in advance!

Rim sizes differed within model, depending on trim line (The 2015 Golf came with 15", 16", and 17" wheels, and Golf GTI had at least an 18" as an option, so the widths increase). Most VW rims in a 5x112 will work depending on the tire you mount. If you are getting 15in/16in VW wheels in 5x112, there's space for a few tire choices, as long as your rotors are not upsized. VW went from 5x100 to 5x112 after the MkIV, depending on model, so that leaves many years as options (someone else should be able to recall specifics), and several widths which will fit. "Easiest" thing to do is get the same width wheel as the OE and mount an OE size tire (195-65-15 or 205-55-16 IIRC for those common sizes). If in doubt, the offset, width, and p/n is usually inside the wheel, but be sure to confirm the bolt circle diameter.

Thanks, HSKrdu! I was thinking of calling/checking junk yards to see if they had anything compatible in the 15-inch size, so knowing that it's MKV and after, helps.
