Compass with Multifunction Trip Computer?

On the Golf, there is a compass heading listed to the left of the time. On my 2011 Jetta TDI (RCD 510 radio), there is nothing, yet my manuals tell me it is there. I have tried to access it, but not able to. Am I looking for something that doesn't exist? Seems odd that a compass would not be included in a trip computer......

I don't think there is or I haven't found it either. I do have my Tom Tom hooked up and use that instead.

VW manuals are notoriously bad in this way. They make one manual for all Jettas, but different model Jettas have different options. Therefore, no manual is matched to a particular car (and its options). If you have the full MFD (like on the Sportwagens) you should have a compass, but if you have the half MFD (like the 2011 sedans) you probably do not have a compass. That's just the way it is.
