I believe that one is posted here too, I can't find the thread at the moment.

I believe you are correct, he posted it several times on the Vortex a few weeks ago. Nice swap!:)

It was in the TDI motorsports forum. That is the car that made me want to CR my chevette instead of the BKD I was planning on.

They brought it down to Southern Worthersee in May. They built it out of the unfinished Corrado TDI race car that was for sale in Hardeeville, SC.

Hi guys.
I'm checking on several sites and can not find any info about the ECU changes needed to make a comonrail engine work in an non CAN vehicle. Any info? do I need a stand alone ECU ?
Thank you for any input.

My guess is that the whole car was swapped.

The car was unfinished at Southern Worthersee. C2Motorsports did the immobilizer delete.

Well, it's time for a nice little update. As of 12:00 AM last night the Common Rail TDI Corrado race car is finally sorted. It's been a long, long road! We have been through many time consuming hold ups. Most of which were immobilizer defeats on multiple ecu's trying to find the most usable, but as is the case with most late model swaps these things are slow going at first and start getting easier to get done with time. So 3 ecu's later, the first 2 which took 1 year each to go to Europe and back and now the 3rd which was defeated in the US about 2 months ago. We originally had the car running off the first ecu about a week after SOWO 2011, but had many driveability issues. These have now been sorted and the car pulls extremely hard. Many people said it couldn't be done, but this car is running of the ECU and Can Bus module only! We are trying to get everything else finished up fo VIR this weekend. Will post up some video if we make it. And as far as some of the questions about mounts, we made custom mounts for the Corrado subframe, and this car is running off of the Corrado CE2 panel with no J519 from the 09 Sportwagen.

Another update,

Car ran it's first endurance race last weekend at Road Atlanta. It was an 8 hour race and car performed great. We finished 11th overall out of around 45 cars and second in class. Car is also still down on power, but we are sorting this out. We believe if the car was 100% it could have finished somewhere near the top 5. Only needed 2 fuel stops for the entire race. If we go with a little bigger tank and we can stand 4 hour stints, we could possibly run the whole race with one refuel stop compared to 4-5 from everyone else in class :)
