VDS-PRO works with my serial VCDS HEX-COM cable but not with my ancient dumb iso-opt cable.

I have found that VDS-PRO will work with cables that work with the 409 version of VCDS. The same is true with VW Tool. Cables that only work with version 311 of VCDS do not work with the other software tools.

Thank you for all the info. I might have to factor in a second, "older" computer to ruin that sort of program on, and use the one I'm looking at as the "entertainment" model.

Has anyone figured out the "one press" close for the auto windows ?
I would like that but dont want to buy the KW100 plug which locks you out!!

Thanks
I have been using this unit: http://www.alientech.net/ for 6 years without any problems, installation is invisible, easy to remove, allows you to vent, has customizable options... Click unlock three times to drop all windows (I find that if I have to put something in the trunk I press unluck once, unlock the trunk, then press unlock again and all windows drop.) Press unlock then lock to close all windows... while the windows are on the way up press unlock once and they will vent when they get to the top then re-lock the doors. A very smart device. Once you gain confidence using this unit you can command the windows to start closing and just walk way. If your vehcile beeps when you arm the alarm then you will hear the system arm after the vent function.

Hello. I have coded a lot of convinience modules to open/close the windows with the keyfob. Both 1J0 959 799 AH and 1C0 959 799 B.

To day had a 1J0 959 799 AH 04E in a Golf IV.

Original coding was like this:

04283=10
04289=10
08628=242
12724=250
16820=0
20916=250

I have never before seen a zero in adress 16820 :confused:
So i tryed to code it like this:

04283=2
04289=2
08628=246
12724=254
16820=246
20916=254

But with this coding the front window in the passengerside does'nt move.

Any ideas why not.

Can you post the part numbers of the 4 door modules? Or better, the text portion of module 0x46 from autoscan.txt in vag-com? It is also interesting to know if there is any reported error in the CCM, like incorrect configuration or something like that. The part number of the motors can be found in the two extra fields of the vag-com header, when connecting to module 0x46. Maybe that motor was replaced... Anyway, the '0' is not on the passenger side address (127XX)... but in the door behind the driver's door (rear left)(168XX).

Good day to all.

Allientech was a good product indeed: Auto roll down/up, ventilation mode, configurable. Installed first on a 2002 MKIV Jetta, removed it when I sold it... then I installed it on my current 2003 Passat... then it was removed to properly test window CCM modification (thanks to all that made that possible ;)).

Thing is: I dont miss the Allientech module. For me is enough to have windowss roll up/down with the keyfob/Key. So, I do not plan to install Allientech module again. PM me if someone is interested.

Regards

Anyone in the Philly area who could help me out with this? I don't have the VAG-tool, and more importantly I don't have a PC laptop. (Otherwise I would just get the cable). PM me if you think you can help some time. If someone just wants the project to play with, that's cool, too.

Thanks

Hi everyone, i'm from france and I have a problem with my ccm 1C0 959 C 799 (Us), I installed the CCM in my car (Golf 4 tdi European), I have to recode the windows roll.

That's OK 04,361 => 138 / 130
04,362 => 138 / 130
04,363 => 138 / 130

The only problem is the "trunk", so I closed the car, the trunk is open, but when I open the car, the engine would open the trunk. It can not because the engine is already in the open position.

If I push the button to open the trunk, it sends a signal to close short instead of opening. Rod motor moves a few millimeters

Madelgado asked to note the values from 04350 to 04360 at 04370
04350 => 161
04360 => 64
04370 = > 4

if you can help me because its already lasted 2 years.:(

Is there any known good supplier of cables that would work with VDS-Pro?

I want to buy a cable, but unsure whether all serial OBD cables would work or not.

I bought this exact cable some time ago. You can find similar cables from Kong Kong for cheaper, but "alpha-bid" was in North America and had a great return policy. I'd recommend them.

Thank you!
I think I'll get one from this guy. Shipping to South Africa is included in his price. So it does not cost that much to RSA.

I take it your's are working fine.

It is working just fine. I used it again tonight to do the "auto down" rear windows and the power folding mirrors.

I just want to say though, I ONLY USE this cable for VDS-PRO. I have a registered USB KEY II or whatever it is called that I use with the latest version of VCDS. VCDS is such a great product for such a great price I didn't want to support the aftermarket clone sellers on that one!

I hope that makes sense!

Cheers,
-Chris

Long time no see!!!!

It has been awhile since this thread has been addressed....... I did the mod on my 2004 Jetta TDI today in less than 5 minutes (after reading all 30 pages of the thread first). I didn't have an old laptop to use so I ended up using my current desktop, a DELL DIMENSION 2400. From ebay I bought a KKL Vag-Com serial cable and also a 50 foot serial cable extension. I have a floppy dive installed on my desktop, but I guess others could make a boot CD and run the software from there. I reset BIOS to read the floppy on bootup and ran a dos 6.22 boot disk with the VDS_Pro software along with COMPU85's config file settings on it. Plugged everything in, started the program then turned the key on....and I WAS IN!!!!! Wrote down the old settings (138 for 4361, 4362 and 4363) the flashed the new values (130 for all 3) DONE!!!! checked it with both FOBs and it works GREAT!!! Thanks everybody who contributed to this thread it made this possible for me!!:D

Coded my the CCM but no luck with the window roll-up?

CCM module # 6Q0 959 433 E

Addr / old / new
4361 / 138 / 2
4362 / 138 / 2
4363 / 138 / 2

Also tried

Addr / old / new
4361 / 138 / 130
4362 / 138 / 130
4363 / 138 / 130

But again no luck.

could someone help me where I'm going wrong?

Or is there other coding that I could try?

Not yet - fuel is too cheap! - 3.2 VR6 R32
People have previously reported that 138 > 2 should work with your controller.
Very strange.:confused:

You also tried the 138>130 which has worked on some other controllers.

The only other similar codes for a 138 original value I have noted from threads that worked is:

CCM 1C0 959 799 C (2002 golf)

Memory Address / old value / new value
04361 / 138 / 66
04362 / 138 / 66
04363 / 138 / 66

I also have a note from a previous thread post that says:
CCM module # 6Q0 959 433 E
coding for 6Q0 same that 1C0 F

4361 02
4362 02
4363 02

however not sure if working in units after 2006

I note your Polo is a 2006

It might be better to calculate your value using the binary method that Miguel explained originally - turn off the correct bit and recalculate the decimal value.

Hi greame86, could you point me to the post where Miguel explained the binary calculation method. I've tried to search, but can't find his post.
