Update

I've just recoded UK spec Bora/Jetta 1C0 959 799 B 6G kom... HL 0003 CCM today. These are the values before and after

Memory Address / old value / new value
04361 / 72 / 64
04362 / 72 / 64
04363 / 72 / 64

it works a treat !!!!
and the alarm works stiil and also the remote boot pop and everything work as before the recoding

How to control the windows
Hold on "lock" windows roll up

Hold on "unlock" windows roll down with the hold when release the button , widows roll down stop

Lito I did try to substract only 4 from each of the values. When I did that, there was no autowindow function available at all, from the fob / lock

If anyone does work how to take a extract a dump of the eeprom can they let me know so I can help our fellow UK members with the 1C0 959 799B modules.

Tried mine again, It wont accept those address values even though it logs in ok, mine is 1C0 959 799 B 7N kom HLO 003.
Micky can you access any addesss locations?, what about location 00001 for example?

your CCM seem to have same Hella version no as the Bora one I recoded today.

When I was poking around mine (1C0 959 799 C), the lowest address I could find was $1000, or decimal 04096.

If I weren't so busy at work right now, I would think about starting an open-source project for a software tool to assist with this type of thing. Having to use a 16-bit app in this day and age is a shame. It wouldn't be hard to validate the various models of CCM and all of that in order to reduce the risk of really screwing things up.

The thing that is kind of a shame is that I had to have my CCM replaced (it was functional, but it had a parasitic current drain that would kill the battery). I *think* I threw it out, but it could be handy for bench testing various things without risking screwing up the car.

I just coded a 2002 Jetta Wagon with a 1C0 959 799C CCM using the values listed in ELE28's post. Works Great!
Which values did you use for the 799C? That is the one I have too except mine is a 02 GLS sedan. My cable finally came in and it works ... just need to verify the correct values before I pull the trigger.

Is your 2002 a single or double din? The 2002 1C0 959 799C that I did was a single din.

Mine is double din (Monsoon with CD/tape etc.) so I don't have the blank space.

What addresse/values did you use? I'm getting ready to start reading addresses to see if I see a pattern that matches what has been posted.

So the ccm with the double din radios are different? so i gather its the double dins that dont accept the addresess?
Micky,

I believe so. I cannot read anything 2002.5 and newer on the CCM. The only 2002 CCM 1C0...C that I could scan was a single din vehicle.

I believe that the change in Can bus type in mid-year 2002 is the reason why we can't use the memory address to make the modification via laptop.

I have a 2003 GL Jetta Sedan that I will be trying this on. I'm trying to get everything in place and take it slow. I don't want to screw anything up. I have the software and instructions. Just need to get a laptop and hope my cable(KEY-COM) works. Then I'll have to do some re-reading and make sure I know what I'm doing before I push the button....oh yeah...and write down the original values! I might be able to get a different cable if mine doesn't work. I'll have to keep reading/posting.

Are the modules related to??? The type/ model of car or due to different vag com models? I am wanting to do this mod on a 2006 Mk5 pkg0, and I think I should be using this.

1J0 959 799 AH (any index) and 1J0 959 799 S 03B
Code:
Memory Address / old value / new value
04283 / 8 / 2
2
04289 / 8 / 2
2
08628 / 242 / 246 driver side front window
12724 / 250 / 254 passenger side front window

16280 / 250 / 254 driver side rear window

20916 / 242 / 246 passenger side rear window

On a mk5, it's very different. You can do it with vag com, it's in the long codeing.

I believe it says how to do this on ross-tech's site.

Has anyone gotten this to work with a USB cable? Has anyone gotten this to work with a B5.5 Passat?

The CCM for the B5.5 passat is identical to the Jetta/Golf CCM same part number: 1C0 959 799C.

No one with a 2003 or newer has been able to make this modification with a cable. USB will not work regardless it must be done via regular 9-pin serial connection

I didnt even read let alone write 16280 or 20916 as I dont have rears in the Beetle.
Works perfectly, thanks everyone.

I'm having issues with vds pro and my homemade ISO cable. Vagcom works fine (can connect to 46) with the cable, so I know that it's OK. I am running windows 98 and booting into a command prompt (by hitting F8 at startup). I assume that this should work fine, but could it be an issue? Unfortunately I am using a junker laptop with no floppy or CDrom drive, so getting a different OS to boot is a PITA to say the least. And my newer laptop doesn't have a serial port.

Any hints?

I have an aftermarket cable that only works with version 311.2 of vag-com. It does not work with VDS. My UniCom works with version 409.1, I'm guessing this is the kind of cable you need for VDS.

Since I have a USB HEX+CAN, I didn't have a serial version so I used an aftermarket cable off ebay (called a KKL VAG-COM) and made sure that it worked with VAG-COM 311 & 409 before attempting VDS. I have 3 laptops and I found that VDS is very funny about what it likes to run on. I suspect it is timing issues but I've not played with the timing delays to figure out what it would take to get it to work on all the laptops I have.

One of the machines is an old 486 laptop that is just DOS and it wouldn't work with it. It worked on my IBM ThinkPad A31p.

Hm, I was wondering if timing was an issue... I noticed that there are a ton of timing numbers to tweak. My laptop is an old P133. I might try my newer laptop with a serial adapter to see if that works...
