Has anyone had their clutch slave cylinder replaced? Do you happen to remember the cost with labor?

Thank you,
Matt

There are just too many to list....
We charge 6 hr labor to R&R all the transverse FWD VAG transmissions. The part is generally done in conjunction with a clutch/flywheel service, but is not necessarily unable to be done by itself.... so the parts cost could vary. That part alone is probably in the $150 range.

So at our shop, we are $135/hr.

135x6=810+150=960+~25 for fluid/tax....call it a grand or so to be safe.

I just replaced my clutch, flywheel and slave cylinder due to a slave cylinder failure. During removal I found the plastic housing of the slave cylinder was cracked which allowed it to deform and leak fluid past the seals. I installed the Sachs SRE metal slave cylinder P/N 613182 654150. Hopefully this unit will last more than the 50k miles that the stock unit did.

Verified to be leaking by my excellent dealer tech. Covered by CPO. Went ahead and paid for new clutch kit parts. The car has 100,000 miles now and clutch looked good but since the transmission was open and labor is covered it seemed like a good time.
