Hello everyone,

I am having issues with bleeding the clutch hydraulic lines on my 2013 jetta SW with 100,000 miles. Master and slave cylinders have not been replaced to my knowledge, but I replaced clutch bleeder valve yesterday. Bled the system yesterday using Motive Power Bleeder with no issues, clear fluid was coming out and clutch felt firm. This morning, I got in the car and clutch pedal felt softer. I am not loosing any brake fluid. Unfortunately, the master cylinder seems to be internal to the transmission on this model. Does anyone have any ideas what's failing? Thank you in advance.

It’s possible that the Slave cylinder inside the bellhousing is leaking. If so unfortunately this requires removing the transmission to replace. A too common problem.

Check the brake fluid level, if it's going down then chances are you have a leak. Worth checking around the bleeder too. But I'd see how it drives or bleed it again first and see how it goes. I fond the hydraulic clutch systems can be a bit strange.

On one of my previous older golfs I struggled to get a really good pedal but it got better with driving?! Yeh I've no idea either lol
