Hi folks,
I'm pretty sure the rear drains on my sunroof are clogged and I'm getting some leaking of water on the C pillar after it rains.

Can someone direct me to a tutorial on how to clean the rear drains from the sunroof side? I tried from under the rear bumpers and got pretty far up into the system and hit the clog, but I think I need to try from the top end.

I think I may be stuck removing the headliner but any help in the process would be appreciated.

Cheers
~James

Following. I am also about to pull all the panels off to figure this out. It seems to rain a lot around here.

If you have to pull panels, my thread on installing the wiper motor associated with the Audi Avant rear wiper mod might be helpful, and has lots of pics. Otherwise, many owners use a stiff cord and run it through the tube, being careful not to separate the tubes at the SR. You can see the point where the tubes reach the SR without removing the whole headliner, especially in a wagon or Golf, but you'll need to lower it at the rear and remove some trim. I replaced the OE tubes with larger diameter versions, which have not produced a leak since the mod.

Some other links, a search will reveal lots more, including leaks that are not clogged lines:
