There was another link someone posted recently to sign up for or be alerted to something... was that different?

Verification Email problem - not received

I was lucky

Got mine in one minute
I just called for the phone support due to not receiving the verification email.

The wait was reasonable (a minute or two) and the person who answered was pleasant. Unfortunately, he was unable to do no more than acknowledge the problem, indicate that they were aware of it, and indicate that they were working on it.

He also took my name, email address, and phone number. Promised to contact me when the problem was resolved.

Sigh.... probably doesn't matter all that much since I doubt we're getting our place in line just yet. Still a bit frustrating.

I have $2000 more than my OTD price. after 2 yrs and almost 50k miles. lol.
We have the same car - they're only offering me $17.7 for mine with roughly the same miles. I'm not including the $6.5K in the buyback amount because I get that whether I keep the car or not.

I'm taking the fix, assuming there is one.

$22456.73 for me, assuming I turn it in with 71001 to 75000 miles in August of 2018. That means it'll cost me just over $7000 or about $98/month for 6 years of driving since it was new.

The wife and her mother say I should get rid of it sooner since they're afraid VW will go out of business by 2018, but I think that's very unlikely.

Curious where this URL was found.. I get that its live and the real deal but where did someone get it from? Is it on the main court settlement website?

I'd hate to have this be a beta site or something and our data go nowhere

From vwcourtsettlement.com click on Eligibility. Answer the questions then click on Online Claims Portal. That takes you to claims.vwgoa.com

Thanks..that make no sense but at least confirms it is legit. You would think that the actual Court Settlement website would provide that information. Not only because it is where you first input your vin, but because it says come back and we'll give you details.

Didn't notice the section underneath... must be a VW design

Looks like I'm getting back what I expected (not what I think I should) @ $13k

FYI, my e-mail link was almost instant.

as i sat in the dealership purchasing my 2014 jetta i looked up the nada value of the car (it helps with negociations) and the 16,575.00 is shy by around 2k...... it would cost me money to take the buyback.... unless i get the money paid for the extended warrantee back?
Your ESC should be able to be cancelled on a pro rated basis. Contact the dealer you bought it from, it takes usually 4-6 weeks to process. If you have a lien, they're going to send the refund to the lienholder in most cases. Also, if you bought prepaid maintenance or GAP, same deal.

ALERT!!! I found out why I was getting like nothing for my VW. I put in my purchase date as 7/7/2016 not 7/7/2015!

This changed my return from 23k to 27k!! Thank you VW, this works for me!

$21,136.73 for my 2012 JSW (nickname: Outlaw)
This is a sad day for us old-timers. A long time ago this was a very different forum.
I'll probably get an CPO A4.

Did you elect to get the settlement cash only and opt for the fix? I am wondering if they would pay out earlier if that is the case...could affect my final decision.
You don't get the cash until the fix is done, if you elect the fix. For the fix to be done, it must first be approved by EPA/CARB.

$14,550 for my 2011 with 134k miles. I paid $18,700 in 3/2013. Not a bad deal I guess. But I also put $3k into it in maintenance costs.

Also - I didn't even try, but was anyone able to get sooner than 11/1? I just went for the first Saturday - 11/5 - hopefully I don't have to take a day off work to do this.

They aren't going to be fixing cars in November. The fixes haven't been submitted for approval yet, much less approved. Once they're approved, VW needs to make/buy the parts, and get them out to dealers. I could be wrong, but I'd be surprised if they're fixing cars before this time next year.

You aren't setting your appointment at this point, just picking a date to base the compensation estimates on.

I tried register last nite and never received the verification email. And yes, I've checked the spam folder

There is a fone number posted on page two of this thread 1-844-982-6246 that I called which doesn't connect: "your call can not go through as dialed" --

Does anyone have a different of the correct number that I can call?

NOTE: I tried to re-register a short time ago and and when I re-submitted my geek mail addr and pw the system alerted me that this email was already in the system.

I got thru on the phone number you list. But not much satisfaction when I talked to them. They know that there is a problem with verification emails and are trying to fix it. They took my contact info....and did not provide a time/date when they'd have the problem fixed.

If you're really anxious, you could try to register again using another email address (if you have one). If you do, please let us know the result.

The one that kills me is I used the owner loyalty cash for the timing belt.

You have to click the verification link in the email they send you. Then you should be redirected to the finishing stages of the process.
