Cigarette Lighter

I just replaced my cigarette lighter / 12v plug assembly. When I keyed up there car and put in the lighter, the backlight of the plug went off, and I heard a pop. The lighter never popped out. No power is getting to the plug, but the fuse in the fuse box tested as OK.

I feel like I've had this problem before but can't remember the solution. Any help?

Recheck your wiring.

If I recall correctly the A-3 Jetta has a hidden "secret" second fuse.
