Cigarette lighter only works with key. Anyway to change

As stated I cannot charge my phone when the key is removed. Is there anyway to change this easily. It is most annoying. 2010 Golf wagon.

a stereo shop would quickly re-wire that for you so it's unswitched.

or you could pop open the fues panel hunt around with your DMM for 12v w/o the key and wire it up yourself.
